News! Habemus Aedificator!

We have a contractor for the Certified Passive House Pharmacy appointed!

We are delighted to announce that O’Gorman Construction of Ardfinnan (who also built the beautiful Anne Street timber extension for this same client) have signed a contract to construction Ireland’s first Certified Passive House Pharmacy on the main street of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. It will have a split level apartment over the shop.

It will be their first Passive House project, but we are confident of their ability to rise to the task, given their experience achieving good air-tightness on recents projects, and their attention to detail on projects like the house extension on Anne Street and the Cloughjordan Enterprise Centre.

Pharmacy Fitout

We have prepared a fit-out of a temporary shop across the street from the existing for the duration of the works, so as not to inconvenience clientele of the pharmacy. The business moves out at the end of the month and the careful demolition of the existing premises will soon follow. The contract will take 51 weeks maximum.

We have also designed the fitout of the new pharmacy, due for completion in less than 1 year.section

Our next step is to run my PHPP calculations past a Design Stage Assurance with Mosart. I intend to upload extensive on-site imagery of the job in progress, with video interviews, time lapse photography and plenty of photos!
