Award Winning Commercial Architecture

The PassivHaus Architecture Company won the 2015 RIAI Award for Sustainable Project for Ireland first Certified PassivHaus pharmacy in Clonmel. As a result, this is the latest in only three non-domestic projects to be certified in Ireland in the last 10 years! This, however, is due to change with the NZEB legislation becoming compulsory in 2020. Commercial architecture can be passive also!

Further information on NZEB is available from the Irish Green Building Council here.

Our office design for O.R.M. Ltd (Cash and Carry Kitchens) is a conversion of an 18th century Mill in Castlemartyr. It is now complete, with the client taking possession in June 2018. We have designed, attained Fire Safety certificate and Disability Access certification for all our commercial projects. We are acting as Assigned Certifier and PSDP all under the one roof. This practice has completed the Enterprise Centre in Cloughjordan, light industrial units with low energy consumption and attached office space.

We are also leading housing development projects such as our 5-passivhaus scheme in Douglas Cork. This has been submitted for planning permission as of May 2018. We are eagerly awaiting getting it on site this year.
